Questions
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please send me an email!
Are there current openings?
My schedule is currently full. Filling out an interest form on the "Let's Connect" page will get you on the waitlist.
Do you take insurance?
Yes! Currently, I am in network with Moda, OHP open card and Yamhill CCO. I am working on building contracts with other insurance companies, which, unfortunately, is a slow process. I will update this section as I become in-network with other insurance companies. Please fill out an interest form regardless, as this is an ongoing area of growth.
How long is your waitlist?
Unfortunately, I do not have an estimate on how long the waitlist can take. It is based on your location for therapy, the timing and changes with my current full caseload. My schedule is limited, especially if you need a time after school (there are currently no future openings for 3:00 or later).
For example, if I get an opening on Wednesdays at 11:30 in McMinnville, it would go to a patient who may have been waiting less time than the child who needs a 1:00 or after appointment in Newberg.

Please include as much information as possible about your schedule availability, including willingness to travel for community or nature sessions, beginning school early or late, summer break schedule, etc. I also recommend going on multiple waitlists due to the high demand for occupational therapy.
Why nature based OT?
Nature is a powerful healing tool that can be supportive in reaching your child’s fullest potential. Nature-based occupational therapy is successful because it engages children in hands-on, multi-sensory experiences that support motor, cognitive, and emotional growth. Outdoor play promotes curiosity, problem-solving, and regulation, while shared experiences with caregivers build co-regulation and confidence. By combining meaningful activity with the restorative benefits of nature, children stay motivated and practice skills that carry over into daily life
Do I have to do therapy outside?
Absolutely not! I firmly believe there is no bad weather- only poor clothing choices.
However, Home Grown Pediatric Therapy is a model that focuses on meeting a child in their natural environment. This means in their home, in their community, OR in nature.
Can you see my child at preschool?
Yes! I can see your child in their natural school environment of daycare, preschool or private school. I cannot treat in public schools since they have their own therapists to support your child. Evaluations do need to be in your home with both you and the child present to initiate weekly therapy.
What is the process to begin therapy?
First step is to fill out the interest form or have your Primary Care Provider send a referral. If there is an opening during a time you listed to be available, I will reach out directly to confirm the weekly appointment time. Next steps include completing an initial evaluation in your home and then initiating weekly therapy sessions at a mutually agreed-upon location and time.
Where in Yamhill county do you treat?
I currently treat within the city limits of Newberg, Dundee, Dayton, Lafayette and McMinnville.
Where in nature?
If you are interested in nature based OT - this can be done in variety of locations including parks or playgrounds, such as Miller Woods Conservation Area, Ewing Young Park, or Airport park.
My ultimate goal is to create a nature-inclusive space in the Newberg-Dundee area. Stay tuned for more updates!
